Apple could offer increased internal storage on its next flagships. It is said that the iPhone 15 Pro will be entitled to a 2 TB variant, double the maximum storage capacity of the current models, the iPhone 14 Pro.
The horizon of the back-to-school keynote is clear. In a few weeks, we will finally discover the contours of the iPhone 15 that could be presented on September 13, 2023. But as usual, many leaks have already revealed many new features to be expected such as USB-C or the arrival of titanium. The latest rumor is what the Pro models will have under the hood.
The information comes from the news aggregator account “yeux1122” which publishes on the Korean blog Naver. Citing a supplier source, he argues that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a maximum storage capacity twice that of the iPhone 14 Pro. As a reminder, these are offered in the following configurations: 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
What will be the maximum storage capacity of iPhone 15 Pro?
Pro versions of the future flagship would thus be entitled to a maximum storage capacity of 2 TB. Plenty to see! The rumor was confirmed by a specialized account on Weibo. And the latter to specify that the Pro models should abandon the 128 GB capacity. To summarize, we can therefore expect the following configurations on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max:
- 256 GB
- 512 GB
- 1 TB
- 2 TB
It remains to be seen whether this rumor will be confirmed on the day of the presentation of the iPhone 15. If so, this would not be the first time that Apple has significantly increased the maximum storage space available on its smartphones. In 2021, the apple manufacturer added the 1 TB storage option for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max to enable the latter to support the Apple ProRes video format.
While we were already expecting a record price for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the potential 2 TB version could reach even more improbable heights. To know everything about future smartphones, do not hesitate to consult our folder dedicated to iPhone 15.
