Galaxy S24: the selfie sensor will not improve but Samsung has a good reason

The selfie sensor of the Galaxy S24 will be exactly the same as that of the Galaxy S23, no improvement in sight according to this information. But if Samsung does not boost this camera, it is for a very good reason: to avoid it being too big.

Galaxy S24

The Galaxy S24 is preparing with three versions in preparation under the code name Muse. Of course, rumours are starting to rain for the high-end smartphone. We are talking about a bigger battery and a faster recharge. If most of the information talks about improvements, GalaxyClub tells us that the selfie sensor will stagnate!

The front camera will be the same as the Galaxy S23

The Galaxy S24 is entitled to three versions according to rumours. And all of these models will not get an improvement of the selfie sensor that will remain at 12 megapixels like the Galaxy S23. Of course, because we see you arrive, that does not mean that the quality of the photos will not be better. Hardware matters, but the software part is just as important.

But if the selfie sensor stays at 12 megapixels, it is because Samsung fears that the front module is too large. An increase in size does not really help the manufacturer in terms of finesse.

As explained above, this does not mean that the front camera will not display more detailed photos with good contrasts and true colors. In the worst case, the images will be identical to those of the Galaxy S23 which are still excellent.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 will be released on what date?

Samsung is preparing big announcements for the future. The Korean manufacturer will lift the veil on its foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, during a conference announced.

For the Galaxy S24 range, Samsung may announce it at a Unpacked event in the fall. In January or February 2024 as last year for the Galaxy S23. But the New Year is coming soon, so let’s take this information with a grain of salt.
