ChatGPT offers brand new features, such as multi-document chat, prompt suggestions and recommended responses. These features make ChatGPT more useful and easier to use. Here are all the new features.
You must have heard of ChatGPT, the tool developed by OpenAI that uses artificial intelligence to generate content from prompts. But did you know that the chatbot has just been enriched with several new features, including multi-document chat? In this article, we will introduce you to these new features and explain how they can make your life easier.
ChatGPT is updated: the tool gives you prompt ideas and answers for your texts
ChatGPT is a tool that allows everyone to quickly generate drafts from prompts. But when faced with an empty chat page, some users may feel blocked. That’s why OpenAI has added several new features to ChatGPT, including:
- Random prompts suggestions to start a conversation with the model. These suggestions are still very varied and not necessarily relevant, but they could be customized in the future based on the user’s past behavior.
- Recommended answers to the text generated by ChatGPT, to deepen ongoing conversations. These answers are similar to those offered by Google with its AI SGE generative search, which leads to a Bard-style chat environment.
- The ability to download multiple files and do text tasks on multiple documents in parallel. This feature is accessible in the InterpreterCode via the small “+” at the bottom left of the chat entry window. It allows for example to make a summary, a comparison or a style transfer between two Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents.
These new features aim to make ChatGPT more useful and easier to use. They will be deployed in the coming weeks, according to OpenAI.
ChatGPT is also aimed at professional users via the ChatGPT Plus subscription. They also benefit from other improvements, such as:
- Auto start with GPT-4 instead of having to select the model first.
- Permanent connection beyond two weeks.
- Shortcuts like (Ctrl) + Shift + C to copy code blocks.
It should be noted that ChatGPT cannot yet handle PDF documents, but it will not be long: OpenAI has just filed GPT-5 with the US Patent and Trademark Office. An approach that is not insignificant for the future of ChatGPT even if the GPT-4 model still has good days ahead.
