The Galaxy S24 will be less powerful in France, Samsung takes a questionable decision

Bad news for French users according to a new leak to take with a pinch. Samsung would have made the questionable decision to use an Exynos SoC for its Galaxy S24 in Europe. A chip less powerful than the Snapdragon processor.

The Galaxy S24 promises great improvements, especially in its battery and fast charging. But now Pocket-lint announces bad news for French users – and more broadly European users. As for the Galaxy S22, we won’t get a SoC Snapdragon but a SoC Exynos much less powerful!

The return of the Exynos SoC instead of the Snapdragon chip?

It’s a constant, French users are used to it. According to Pocket-lint, Samsung will make a questionable decision by choosing an Exynos SoC for its Galaxy S24 throughout Europe, so France.

For the United States, the SoC Snapdragon will always be there. If this decision of Samsung annoys, it is because the performance of Exynos chips are weaker. The manufacturer even apologized about this because of the problems related to the Galaxy S22 range that used this processor.

If this rumour remains to be taken with a pinch, that the Galaxy S24 is equipped with an Enyxos SoC would mark a step backwards. As a reminder, the Galaxy S23 has a SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Unless since, Samsung has reviewed its copy and improved its Exynos chip.

A much less powerful chip for the Galaxy S24 in France?

For those who don’t know, Samsung designs the Exynos SoC. Just like Apple with the Bionic chips on its iPhone that could draw a line on the borders or Google with the Tensor chip on its Pixel.

Let’s cross our fingers so that Samsung does not regress with the Galaxy S24 since we are also talking about a camera without real improvement. Or at least that the builder has overcome the performance problems of his home chip.

It is rumored that the Galaxy S24 range will be released in January or February 2024 after a presentation at a Galaxy Unpacked event.
